- (0) There are essentially two windows in which N2O5 can be observed and analyzed. One extends from about 716 to 770 cm-1, and the other from 1210 to 1270 cm-1. Cross-sections are available for the investigation of these regions. Curtis Runsland has prepared a list of discrete intervals to define the 100% transmittance level, and another set of narrow regions to measure the total absorption by N2O5. These lists have been provided by CPR, and are as follows:
